I've been thinking about blogging for awhile and now I've picked the LEAST perfect time. Patrick, my DH and I leave in less than a week for 5 days in Seoul and 13 days in Lombok and Bali, Indonesia. I have so much to do before then but this is typical me. I rather do something fun than something that has to be done.
Well, I wanted to show you my latest creation. I finally did one of the Mamu Nike patterns. This was the dress that Violet wore yesterday for Easter. She tried it on and then told me she wanted to wear it tomorrow, meaning Monday. I was quite dismayed. When you work that hard on a dress, you want them to jump and scream for joy, not try to put off wearing it til the next day.
I really like it. I don't know if I love it but I really like it. I'm super picky and I don't know if I'm crazy about the fit AND I'm a big believer that "more is more." I think it needs more embroidery, ribbon and bling. Here are some close-ups of the embroideries.
This was my first time doing this pattern. The directions were limited to say the least and I think I'll put together a tutorial for the next one that I do. I looked online for one but only found one on the Mamu Designs website.
Now I'm mid process on a Farbenmix Madita. I absolutely LOVE that pattern. I don't know if Violet's a huge fan yet. I've made her one. The one I'm working on right now is a present for a birthday party this weekend. Here's what I've done so far.
How can you not LOVE these embroidery patterns. I'll post the final project when it's done.
Now that my feet are wet, I can't wait to blog again!!!
